Overload
Babysit a computer through a busy shift, system-monitor style. Kill the runaway processes before a CPU core overheats, but leave the important ones alone.
How to play
- Four CPU cores sit at the top and the processes below. Watch the CPU % and the little trend graphs.
- Most processes behave. Memory leaks creep up, infinite loops suddenly max out and fork bombs copy themselves.
- Press kill (or select a process and press F9 or K) to end it, or nice (F7 or N) to halve its CPU.
- Never kill a ★ process: that costs a life. A core over 100% for four seconds panics and costs a life too. Three lives.
